About Me

Professional Registrations: I am a registered counsellor (MNZAC) with the New Zealand Association of Counsellors (NZAC) and I am bound by their codes of ethics.

Theoretical Background: I have been trained in a variety of counselling approaches, including Rogerian Person Centred Counselling, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Integrated Family Systems Therapy, and I work through a trauma informed lens. I hold a Bachelor of Social Services (Counselling) from Otago Polytechnic.

Therapy Experience and Interests: I have an interest in a trauma informed approach, including the work of Gabor Maté, and I have a deep and abiding interest in the Eastern philosophies of Advaita / Non-Duality, particularly as expressed by Rupert Spira, Gangaji, Stuart Schwartz and Richard Sylvester
